Ever More Nest
Kelcy Mae is a longtime New Orleans songwriter and front-woman of the Alt-Country/Americana outfit Ever More Nest, which released its debut album, The Place That You Call Home, in 2018. The album was nominated for Best Alt-Country Album in the Independent Music Awards and named to Offbeat Magazine’s Top 50 Albums of 2018. Kelcy Mae has come to be known for her emotive, authentic voice, delicate yet driving guitar work, and honest, observational songwriting that poses the universal question: “Just where do I belong?” According to Folk Radio UK, “The answer is clearly in any discerning Americana CD collection.” To listen and watch, visit EverMoreNest.com.

Sam Gleaves - Honest
This will come off as hyperbole, but it doesn't get much better than Sam Gleaves. His latest album Honest is just that – a deeply personal one (the only kind Gleaves can write) that showcases Gleaves' refreshingly open worldview. Honest is not an album about bearing one's soul so much as it is an invitation into Gleaves' life. These songs are observational, as gentle as they are righteous.
Loose Cattle - Someone’s Monster
You might not associate country music with New Orleans, but Loose Cattle is part of the Crescent City's bubbling scene. After all, New Orleans is the crossroads of all the cultures have built this nation, and it stands to reason that country gets transformed into something bigger and more robust here. With Someone's Monster, Loose Cattle uses the most American of art forms to interrogate our uniquely American evils. Someone's Monster investigates how we become monsters – whether those othered by the "majority," or how the "majority" turns into oppressors.
Spotify Confirms Beyoncé‘s ‘COWBOY CARTER’ Brought Over 36 Million First-Time Listeners to Country Music in 2024
As various publications’ 2024 End-of-Year Lists roll out, Beyoncé's blockbuster debut country album, COWBOY CARTER, has been ubiquitous, with the trailblazing project being championed by many as a pivotal moment for the genre as a whole. Unfortunately, though, as was the case when COWBOY CARTER first arrived in March, the inclusion of Beyoncé's latest record in an array of country music's ‘Best of the Year’ rankings has caused a stir amongst the more traditional-leaning factions of the genre. However, the unveiling of Spotify Wrapped this week has highlighted that, even if pockets of the country music world are reluctant to embrace COWBOY CARTER, whether they like it or not, Beyoncé's momentous project has had a colossal impact on the genre.
