For the new record, Morin (Crow/Assiniboine) leverages his expansive musical vocabulary – flatpicking, fingerstyle guitar, blues, folk, singer-songwriter, rock and roll and pop textures, and instrumental lyricism – to synthesize more than a dozen of Western painter/sculptor Charles M. Russell works into songs and tunes.
